Important information about your relationship with SB Golf Club
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of facilities, services, and membership at SB Golf Club ("the Club"). By accessing our facilities, booking services, or becoming a member, you agree to be bound by these terms.
SB Golf Club is committed to providing exceptional golfing experiences while maintaining the integrity, traditions, and etiquette of the game. These terms are designed to ensure all members and guests can enjoy our facilities in a safe, respectful, and pleasant environment.

2. Definitions
Throughout these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:
- "Club" refers to SB Golf Club, its premises, facilities, and services.
- "Member" refers to any individual who holds a current membership with the Club.
- "Guest" refers to any non-member who visits or uses the Club's facilities.
- "Management" refers to the Club's management team and authorized representatives.
- "Premises" refers to all areas of the Club including the golf course, practice facilities, clubhouse, and surrounding grounds.
- "Booking" refers to any reservation for tee times, facilities, lessons, or events.
3. Membership Terms
3.1 Application and Approval
Membership applications are subject to approval by the Club's Membership Committee. The Club reserves the right to decline any application without providing a reason. By submitting an application, prospective members authorize the Club to conduct any necessary background or credit checks as permitted by law.
3.2 Membership Categories and Fees
The Club offers various membership categories, each with specific privileges, restrictions, and fee structures. Current membership categories and fees are available from the Membership Office and are subject to annual review and adjustment.
Membership fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable. Payment methods and schedules are determined by the Club and communicated to members upon approval of membership.
3.3 Membership Cards and Identification
Members will be issued membership cards which must be carried at all times while on Club premises. These cards are non-transferable and may not be used by any person other than the member to whom it was issued. Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately to the Membership Office.
3.4 Duration and Renewal
Unless otherwise specified, memberships are valid for one year from the date of issue or renewal. Renewal notices will be sent approximately 30 days before expiration. The Club reserves the right not to renew any membership and is not obligated to provide a reason for non-renewal.
3.5 Termination or Suspension
The Club reserves the right to terminate or suspend membership if a member:
- Provides false information on their application
- Fails to pay dues or charges in a timely manner
- Violates these Terms and Conditions or Club rules
- Engages in behavior that is deemed detrimental to the Club or its members
- Is convicted of a serious criminal offense
No refund of membership fees will be made in the event of termination due to violation of rules or misconduct.
3.6 Guest Privileges
Members may bring guests to the Club subject to guest policies and fees. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests and must ensure they adhere to all Club rules and regulations. The Club reserves the right to limit the number of guests or guest visits.
3.7 Transfer and Leave of Absence
Memberships are non-transferable unless specifically provided for in certain membership categories. Requests for temporary leaves of absence due to medical reasons or relocation may be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted in writing to the Membership Office.
4. Reservation & Cancellation
4.1 Tee Time Reservations
Members may book tee times according to the advance booking privileges of their membership category. All bookings are subject to availability and course maintenance schedules.
Members and guests are expected to arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled tee time. Failure to check in 10 minutes prior to the reserved tee time may result in forfeiture of the reservation.
4.2 Cancellation Policy
Cancellations of tee times, event bookings, or facility reservations must be made within the specified timeframes:
- Tee Times: At least 24 hours in advance
- Private Events: According to the terms of the specific event contract
- Dining Reservations: At least 4 hours in advance
- Lessons or Instruction: At least 24 hours in advance
Failure to cancel within these timeframes may result in cancellation fees or full charges. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in restriction of booking privileges.
4.3 Weather Conditions and Course Closure
The Club reserves the right to close the course or facilities due to inclement weather, maintenance requirements, or special events. In cases of course closure, the Club will make reasonable efforts to reschedule reservations or provide appropriate compensation according to our raincheck policy.
The determination of playability due to weather conditions is solely at the discretion of Club Management. Players who begin a round and are subsequently unable to complete it due to course closure will be issued rainchecks according to the Club's raincheck policy.
5. Code of Conduct
5.1 General Conduct
All members and guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the traditions and etiquette of golf and in accordance with Club rules. This includes:
- Treating staff, members, and guests with courtesy and respect
- Complying with dress codes and facility-specific rules
- Refraining from offensive language or behavior
- Using facilities and equipment properly and safely
- Respecting the property of the Club and others
5.2 Golf Etiquette
Players must adhere to proper golf etiquette including:
- Maintaining an appropriate pace of play
- Repairing divots, ball marks, and rake bunkers
- Following starter instructions and course signage
- Allowing faster groups to play through
- Operating golf carts responsibly and according to daily routing guidelines
5.3 Dress Code
Appropriate golf attire is required at all times on the course and practice facilities. The Club reserves the right to refuse service to anyone not adhering to the dress code. Detailed dress code information is available from the Pro Shop and on our website.
5.4 Mobile Devices
The use of mobile devices should be considerate of others. Phones should be set to silent or vibrate mode while on the course. Phone conversations should be kept brief and conducted away from other players.
5.5 Alcohol Consumption
The consumption of alcoholic beverages must be responsible and in accordance with local laws. The Club reserves the right to refuse service to any individual who appears to be intoxicated or is behaving inappropriately. Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted on Club premises.
5.6 Smoking
Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is prohibited inside all buildings and is only permitted in designated outdoor areas. Cigarette butts must be disposed of properly in the receptacles provided.
6. Liability & Insurance
6.1 Personal Property
The Club is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property on Club premises, including vehicles and their contents, regardless of whether the property is stored in lockers, left in golf carts, or elsewhere on the premises.
6.2 Personal Injury
Members and guests use the Club facilities at their own risk. The Club is not liable for any injuries sustained while on Club premises or while participating in Club activities, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
Golf is an inherently dangerous sport, and participants accept the risks associated with the game, including but not limited to being struck by golf balls or golf clubs, lightning strikes, encounters with wildlife, and accidents involving golf carts.
6.3 Member and Guest Insurance
Members and guests are encouraged to carry appropriate personal insurance coverage for their own protection, including health, property, and liability insurance.
6.4 Damage to Club Property
Members will be held responsible for any damage to Club property caused by themselves, their family members, or their guests, and will be billed for repairs or replacement as necessary.
7. Privacy & Data Protection
The Club collects and processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. By becoming a member or using Club facilities, individuals consent to the collection, use, and processing of their personal information as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
The Club may use photography or video recording during events for promotional purposes. Members or guests who do not wish to be photographed or recorded should notify the Club in writing.

8. Amendments to Terms
The Club reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to members through email, Club newsletters, or posting on the Club website or notice board.
Continued use of Club facilities after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
